Interior Home Repaint — Moorooka
A young family in Moorooka had just settled into a 1940s post-war home and wanted to refresh every internal surface before their newborn arrived. The house was structurally sound but had dated cream walls, yellowed ceilings and heavily scuffed skirting boards throughout.
The Challenge
The clients needed the project completed within a strict three-week window before the baby's due date, with low-VOC products for indoor air quality, and no disruption to a small home office where one partner worked full-time. Original VJ tongue-and-groove hallway timber had multiple paint layers and nail holes that needed filling.
Our Solution
We staged the project so the office was painted first and returned to service within 48 hours. Rooms were sequenced to keep the family sleeping and eating in freshly-cured spaces. All walls received two coats of Dulux Wash & Wear Low Sheen in Natural White, ceilings in Dulux Ceiling Flat, and trims in Dulux Aquanamel Semi-Gloss in Vivid White. The VJ hallway was filled, sanded and primed before final coats.
The Result
The home was ready two days ahead of schedule. Indoor air readings taken by the client 24 hours after the final coat were within normal residential ranges. The completed hallway has become a standout feature of the home.
