Exterior House Painting — Camp Hill
A tired 1930s weatherboard home in Camp Hill needed a complete exterior refresh to restore its street appeal and protect the timber cladding through another decade of Brisbane weather. The owners had lived in the home for seven years and were preparing to sell within the next 18 months.
The Challenge
The northern and western elevations had extensive chalking, peeling around windows, and a section of split weatherboard behind an overgrown frangipani. Two previous paint layers were incompatible, causing flaking. The clients also wanted a heritage-inspired colour update from cream to a deeper charcoal scheme without losing the character of the home.
Our Solution
Our crew pressure-washed the full envelope, scraped and sanded every failing section back to timber, and replaced 6 lineal metres of split weatherboard. All bare timber was primed with Dulux 1-Step Prep and Prime, cracks were caulked, and two full topcoats of Dulux Weathershield in Monument were applied to weatherboards with Vivid White fretwork and Colorbond Manor Red on the front door. A free colour consultation was included before start.
The Result
The home was transformed. The owners reported that neighbours stopped by daily during the project asking who was painting it, and three enquiries for our services came from the street within the first week. On completion the home appraised $85,000 higher than the pre-project estimate from their agent.
